Through four documentary video portraits, A Place in the Sun examines phrases such as ‘most people’ and ‘the average person’. The experiences of four individuals are structured into a whole, their individual identities slipping into one another to become greater than the sum of their parts. In Furu’s first film to utilise fictitious elements, real and scripted situations, actual and invented individuals are combined.
